Advanced Workshop Series (AWS) for the experienced Birth Assistant

Birth Emergencies

​This class is meant for experienced Birth Assistants (or other experienced clinical birth professionals). This all day workshop covers what to do when complications or emergencies arise at a birth. Topics include:  Shoulder Dystocia, PPH, Maternal Shock and NRP.  A local Licensed Midwife will be co-instructing. Lots of hands on practice of maneuvers and NRP.  

Postpartum & Placenta Inspection

This hands on 3 hour workshop is co-instructed by a Midwife.

This advanced workshop will cover PP topics including:
- Placenta evaluation and tour
- Withdrawing cord blood
- Fundal massage and evaluation
- Estimating blood loss
- Top Homeopathics and herbs for blood loss
- Placentas that are taking their time, retained membranes, and other symptoms from blood loss,
  or baby transitioning

We will be working with real placentas so get ready to take a tour!  Student Midwives are always 
welcome..
