What is a Home Birth or Community Birth?
Community Birth is also known as "out of hospital birth". Community Birth is defined as when a family decides to have an unmedicated birth at home or at a free standing birth center with a Midwife. Learning to be a support person in this environment is essential. Understanding the personal environment of the space and learning how to communicate in this setting is imperative.
