CNN featured an amazing waterbirth!

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of assisting at a birth at Puget Sound Birth Center in Kirkland, WA and CNN was there to capture it all!  Producers from CNN joined one of our amazing Licensed Midwives, Valerie Sasson to capture a client's birth and document the whole process.  They are doing a feature project on pregnancy and childbirth and our birth center was selected for one of the out of hospital birth segments.  The producers spent time interviewing this family and other clients prenatally.  They had an extensive one on one interview with Valerie (just one of the many amazing Midwives at PSBC) and also captured the follow up postpartum home visit for this family.  It was an honor to be asked to join the team and attend the birth as the Birth Assistant for this project.  The family was super sweet and the little adorable lady made quite the debut on film, just before midnight..  I am beyond excited that this important topic is making national news and that the world gets to view what an amazing birth center/waterbirth/natural/midwife & birth assistant attended birth looks like!  Midwives are changing the world one birth at a time!
